About Pre-Accreditation

Pre-accreditation is a voluntary, non-accredited affiliation with PEAC indicating that a new physiotherapy education program is preparing for full accreditation.

The pre-accreditation process is consultative and supportive in nature. The pre-accreditation report (submitted by the new program) and the pre-accreditation review report (written by the PEAC-approved advisor) are reviewed only by PEAC staff and never shared with the Accreditation Committee.

While participation in the pre-accreditation process does not assure attainment of accreditation status, it is offered to facilitate the ability of the program to achieve accreditation status and is highly recommended.

For more details about pre-accreditation eligibility and timelines, see our Pre-Accreditation Guide.
