Reviewers have access to a number of resources to prepare them for an accreditation review and to streamline the process as much as possible.
Online training modules provide orientation to and training in accreditation and the PT education accreditation program itself. They will outline expectations and will provide examples of scenarios often encountered during a review along with information about how approach those situations. Similarly, examples of evidence submitted in past reviews and how to determine whether a criterion is fully met, partially met, or not met upon review of the evidence will be described. The Peer Review Team Handbook is a key reference document for reviewers and includes timelines, sample interview questions, report-writing strategies and other important information.

The team is provided with the template for writing the final report, as well as sample reports to illustrate the level of detail required within the report.
Regular reminders of upcoming due dates and related responsibilities and resources are sent via eBlast to the team at regular intervals throughout the review to help keep the team on track.
The team Chair and the experienced team members are always available to assist and answer questions. Chairs are asked to mentor new reviewers as much as possible throughout the experience.
PEAC staff are available to guide the team and answer questions at any time too. You’ll be well supported during the experience!
