Accreditation Review

We are responsible to conduct the accreditation review of an entry-to-practice physiotherapy education program. Each program completes a full review every six years. PEAC therefore conducts two to four reviews a year. This means that we might be asked to participate in a review only once every two to three years.

“This is a very rewarding experience. It is time consuming, tiring, and hard work. However the knowledge gained and the experience obtained is worth it. You also get to meet some wonderful fellow PRT members, as well as students, faculty and staff from the program being accredited.”

Self Study Report

We read the program’s Self Study Report, including the evidence submitted to support compliance with the accreditation criteria. We identify any gaps in the evidence, and we interview program stakeholders (students, graduates, faculty, staff, employers, preceptors, committee members, upper administration) to validate and triangulate the evidence. Our final report identifies whether the program has fully met, partially met, or not met each of the accreditation criteria.
