Grow professionally and personally
While the accreditation process is intense, the benefits to you personally and professionally, as well as the benefit to your education program or workplace when you share your accreditation knowledge and experience cannot be understated! Volunteering as a reviewer makes you an essential contributor to the accreditation process.
Expand your network
Our reviewers have diverse backgrounds and experiences. A key benefit of serving as a physiotherapy education program reviewer is the opportunity to strengthen and build your professional network beyond the boundaries of workplace, profession, and geography.
Hear what your peers have said about their own experiences.
I believe it is a great way to better understand the entire education process by which our members are taught and to appreciate the accreditation process and all it involves.
It is challenging yet very rewarding work. It is a team effort.
This is a very rewarding experience. It is time consuming, tiring, and hard work. However the knowledge gained and the experience obtained is worth it. You also get to meet some wonderful fellow PRT members, as well as students, faculty and staff from the program being accredited.
Participating in the accreditation process is an interesting experience that provides insight into an important aspect of the physiotherapy profession in Canada. I also appreciate the opportunity to work in a small team with dynamic and interesting people with whom I might not otherwise connect.
It’s such a great opportunity to learn so much about how other programs function. Great learning experience for any faculty member or regulator or clinician.
