With a 25-year career at the intersection of acute care, community outreach, and academia, Simone Gruenig brings a unique depth of experience and leadership to PEAC. She has shaped future therapists as an instructor at the University of British Columbia and Capilano University while providing vital frontline care with Vancouver Coastal Health.
Simone’s dedication to the profession is evident in her significant committee involvement and advocacy work with provincial, national, and international physiotherapy associations. She holds degrees from the University of Ottawa and the University of Toronto, complemented by extensive post-graduate training in cardiorespiratory care, trauma-informed care, Indigenous cultural humility, and adult education. Simone was pleased to join PEAC in 2024.
